Hammer Chen 大木耳

Printmaking artist/Illustrator 版画艺术家和插画师

Graduated from the Department of Illustration, University of the Arts London.

Hammer began to study prints while in the university, and deep-dived into the subject for 3 years at several printmaking studios. Hammer has been exploring different applications of printmaking in illustration, and was selected as a member artist of The Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers in 2016. In 2017 Hammer founded printmaking studio “Wait and Roll”, which doubles as a “printmaking creative lab”.

毕业于伦敦艺术大学插画系。在就读插画系期间，因受到版画的诱惑开始研习版画。除了在伦艺，3年里还分别在伦敦5家版画工作室里学习。一直在探索版画作为创作方式在插画设计领域应用的可能性。2016被选拔为英国皇家版画协会的成员艺术家。2017在上海创立滚动版画工作室Wait and Roll。滚动版画工作室Wait and Roll是一家专业版画工作室，更是一个版画创作实验室。

1. Favorite meal to cook? 最喜欢做的一道菜？

Sliced beef in chili oil. I can eat it everyday, better with some cucumbers.

水煮牛肉。每天都想吃，最好里面有黄瓜。

2. Coffe or tea? 喜欢喝茶还是咖啡？

Tea, I quite like earl grey it goes so well with beef in chili.

喜欢喝茶。最喜欢的茶是earl grey，水煮牛肉配伯爵茶超赞

3. Favorite sound? 最喜欢什么声音？

The sound of raindrops tapping on the roof and window on a rainy day.

下雨天雨水拍打屋檐和窗户的声音

4. If you could master any instrument what would that be? 如果你能演奏任何乐器，你希望是什么？

Bass guitar. Recently my friend said that when we grow old, we should form a band. Other instruments and lead singers already decided, for now missing a someone playing bass.

贝斯。最近朋友说以后老了要组乐队，其他乐器和主唱都有人选了，只有贝斯手空缺。
