I’m from Dalian city, China. Graduated from the China Academy of Art in 2012，Department of graphic design. I started painting in the streets from 2007 and continue to this day. From the letters graffiti to the abstract style, I try to reintegrate the things by deconstruction, find the balance of the picture. Recently, I try to reconstruct new concrete objects with my own abstract style.
马辰立2012年毕业于中国美术学院平面设计系 。2007年开始涂鸦至今，长期从事涂鸦字体和抽象风格的涂鸦壁画以及架上作品的创作。善于给不同的载体赋予自己的解构抽象风格。受自幼的传统绘画和平面设计学习以及十多年的涂鸦经历的影响，慢慢形成现在抽象风格的作品。不满足于涂鸦字体创作和具象物体的限制，试图通过解构和再归纳的方法重新整合画面。融合以往在街头吸收的图形风格，用来源于具象的元素打散重组，并最大限度的控制画面的平衡感，同时给观众自我思考的空间。
1. Longest you have been away from home? 最长离家多久？
It’s been 13 years since I’ve left my hometown Dalian. Living in Hangzhou was a good choice, I’m more calm in this city, and can set my mind to life and work, my new home is here.
我已经离开我的家乡大连13年了，生活在杭州是不错的选择，不会那么急躁，我可以安心的生活和工作，我的新家在这里。
2.The best way to destress? 对你来说，最好的减压方式是什么？
For me it’s drawing graffiti, it’s my work, but it’s also my biggest passion. Drawing graffiti outside of work, for myself is really awesome.
最好的减压方式是在街上涂鸦，它是我的工作也是我最大的爱好。工作以外的涂鸦真的非常爽。
3. Best TV series out right now? 现在最好的电视剧是哪一部？
I just found out that the The 4400 is getting a reboot and there’s only one episode so far. I like the paranormal theme, It makes me think of more possibilities.
我刚刚发现4400翻拍了新版，目前只有一集。我喜欢关于超自然现象的题材，可以让我想到更多可能性。
4. Your main strength as a creative person? 作为一个创意人，你的主要优点是什么?
I think I am good at controlling the overall layout of the picture. My work can be used as the basis for many pictures, and another person or a team can try adding their own elements.
我觉得我比较善于把控画面的整体布局，我的作品可以作为很多画面的基础框架，另外一个人或团队可以试着用我的框架放入自己的元素。
5. Your favorite creative project you’ve ever worked on, and why you like it so much?
你曾经参与过的创意项目其中，那个是你最喜欢的项目；为什么你这么喜欢它?
I think the happiest experience is the collaboration with NIKE team. In 2018, I did the graffiti wall project of Jordan Hangzhou flagship store and the T-shirt design for the store. I got the most freedom and respect in this project. Many commercial projects in China are heavily restricted by clients and often end up being modified beyond recognition. However, in cooperation with them, only adjustments were their requirements for content. After several rounds of revisions, I received the final revision, they told me to “Make your work more KIDDY”, and I felt they knew exactly how to get the best work from artists.
我觉得最开心的经历是和NIKE的团队合作，2018年我做了Jordan杭州旗舰店的涂鸦墙项目，和店铺专属的T恤设计。在这个项目里我得到了最大的自由和尊重。在中国很多商业项目都受到了客户很大的限制，往往最后都是修改到面目全非。但是跟他们的合作，修改的部分只有有关于他们对内容的需求的调整。几轮修改后满足了他们的需求，我收到最后的修改意见“Make your work more KIDDY”，我觉得他们完全知道怎么获得艺术家发挥最好的作品。
