Felipe Franco is a Brazilian-German award-winning creative director with over 13+ years experience throughout agencies around the globe and a rookie film and commercial director. In the last years he was leading accounts as Porsche, HSBC and Sands Resort as Global Group Creative Director at Saatchi & Saatchi Shanghai.
作为一名备受赞誉的创意总监，Felipe Franco拥有巴西和德国双国籍，他曾在全球各大创意公司服务，拥有超过13年的工作经验，同时，他还是一位新晋的电影和广告导演。在过去的几年中，他在上海盛世长城担任创意总监，服务了诸多国际品牌，包括保时捷，汇丰银行，澳门金沙度假区等。
Now, he is using his international experience to open his independent creative consultancy FelipeFranco & Co. (also called FF&Co.), helping agencies, production houses and clients to deliver high-standard creative work.

Felipe is also responsible for the premium retouching studio Vitamin in China.

1. What’s your favorite movie in the past five years? 近五年来，你最喜欢的电影是哪一部?
I’ve been watching more films than usual now that I’m also going towards film and commercial direction. There a few films I liked recently so I’m not sure if this my favourite but certainly one that left an impression on me recently was “Mother” from Darren Aronofsky. The film is deep, intense, visually strong and sometimes even confusing… but after watching it, you cannot forget it. Most people either love it or hate it. For me it is a good sign. And I’m rather on the “love it” one.
我现在比平常要多看很多电影，因为我在往电影和广告方向发展。我最近喜欢的一些电影中，其中有一部我不确定是否是我最喜欢的电影，但无疑给我留下了深刻的印象—达伦·阿伦诺夫斯基导演的《母亲》。这部电影非常深沉，强烈，有着非常突出的视觉效果，有时也会让人困惑……看过之后，你就很难忘记。大多数人要么爱它，要么恨它。就我而言，这是一个好的现象。当然，我属于喜欢它的那类人群。
2. If you could sing a duet with anyone who would it be? 如果有机会跟人合作⼆重唱，你希望和谁搭档?
Sinatra or Tom Jobim. They actually already sang once as duet.
Jobim is one of the fathers of Bossa-Nova, one of the most loved Brazilian music genres. Apart from having incredible voices, these gentlemen are more than singers or musicians, they became icons of their generations.

3. Coolest place you’ve travelled to 旅行去过的最有意思的地方是哪⾥?
I’m glad I could travel a lot throughout my career. I’ve been to over 40 countries and most of them impressed me in a certain way.
Getting inside the pyramids and tombs in Egypt was definitely impressive.
Iceland has one of the nicest landscapes my eyes and my camera ever saw.
Talking about nature, Hawaii really makes you feel connected to it. You feel alive.
But still, my favourite place on Earth might be Jericoacoara. A small fishermen village close to my hometown. I called it the Sand-Venice. This place is just magic.
我非常庆幸可以通过工作去到很多不同的地方。我已经去过超过40多个国家，大多数都在某种程度上给我留下了深刻的印象。
近距离接触埃及的金字塔和古墓，绝对令人印象深刻。
冰岛绝对是我眼睛看到和镜头捕捉到的最美的地貌风景之一。
谈到自然景色，我觉得夏威夷最有联结性，你可以感受到它的活力。
但是，地球上我最爱的地方可能还是Jericoacoara. 它是我家乡附近的一个小渔村。我把它称作沙漠威尼斯。这个地方充满魔力。
4. Last photograph you took? 你拍的最后一张照片是什么?
The last photograph I took was a snapshot with my mobile from the jacket of a scooter-rider. On the back there was a quite cryptic message “The school destroyed my uff”. I think I know what it means… I love these messages on shirts here. I guess I’m not the only one.
我手机里最新的一张照片，拍摄的是一个车手的夹克衫。衣服后面写着字义模糊的一句话：“学校摧毁了我的uff”。我认为我理解它的含义。 我喜欢衬衫文字所传递的信息，我猜我并不是唯一一个。
5. Favorite Chinese saying? 最喜欢的一句中国谚语是?
Chinese sayings are amazing. They carry very complex messages about life distilled in just a few words.
These two sound very suitable for my life right now:
“The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.” Lao Tzu
This one for obvious reasons as I decided to start my own new journey.
“Tell me, I forget. Show me, I remember. involve me, I understand.” Chinese Proverb
And this one because it really describes my approach not only to films but to communication in general.
中国的谚语充满了智慧。短短数语就包含了丰富的内涵和人生哲理。以下的这两句话，我认为非常适合我现在的生活状态。
“千里之行，始于足下”—老子
这正是我开始新旅程的原因之一。
“告之，则恐遗忘；师之， 铭记于心；引之，学以致用。”—中国谚语
这句话不仅是我从事导演工作的做事方法，而且适用于普遍的沟通交流。
