Arturo Casares
My journey outside Mexico started when I left the port of Altamira towards Europe on board of a cargo ship working as a shipman in 1994. Since then there have been many facets of me that go from being the marketing director of the National Institute of Fine Arts in Mexico to forming an amazing family with a daughter and a son to producing the most successful Chinese TV drama of the decade of the 2000s, the Chinese version of Ugly Betty.
1994年作为一名货轮船员的我离开了墨西哥。货轮从阿尔塔米拉（Altamira）港口驶向欧洲的那一刻起，我新的人生旅程开始了。从那时起，我变换了很多角色，从最初的墨西哥国立美术研究所的市场总监到组建了儿女双全的完美家庭再到后来制作了21世纪初最成功的中国电视剧——中国版丑女贝蒂（Ugly Betty）。
Professionally I consider myself a storyteller, whereas it is through an AR experience or a documentary the way of telling a story and take care of all the possible details is what drives me.
I created in 2011 LR Studio, a creative house focused on producing original and commercial content for different Chinese and International platforms and clients.
1.What is the best gift you’ve ever received? 你收到过的最好的礼物是什么？
My first camera when I was 8. It was a compact 110 film camera and my uncle André, who was wounded in the second World War, gave it to me wrapped in newspaper paper as it used to be his.
应该是我8岁时收到的人生中第一台照相机。那是一台小巧的110胶卷相机，是我叔叔安德烈（André）送给我的。他是一名在二战中受过伤的老兵。我记得相机当时是用报纸包起来送给我的。
