Jie Shao is an interdisciplinary artist working on installation and sculpture. Combining with personal memory, observation and experience, his practice aims to represent rules that lies in society, repeatedly and accidentally triggered in everyday life. By understanding the function and metaphor of different materials, his work intends to contour the knot between them.
邵捷获得帕森斯设计学院纯艺术专业硕士，现工作生活于上海。媒介不仅限于雕塑和装置，结合记忆，观察和体验，尝试梳理在生活中被重复循导和意外触发的规则。在理解材料功能与修辞的同时，勾勒缠绕在它们之间的结。

“The Global Transformation of Time” by Vanessa Ogle. A friend recommended me this book, it’s about the formation of Greenwich Time and world time over a span of nearly a century. I am interested in systems and rules, and the rules of time have assimilated the world violently.
