Alex Brodie

Alex graduated from Ravensbourne, London in ’96 with a BA (hons) in Moving Image Design (accredited by the Royal College of Art). He worked at The Mill before graduation and Framestore for the year after as a Henry artist, working on the Emmy Visual Effects winning “The Odyssey”, the pilot for “Walking with Dinosaurs” and many commercials and films. Alex left London in June ’97 to set up his own company, Base 2 Studios, in LA. Alex sold Base 2 in 2001 and moved to 525 Studios, then Company 3 as Creative Director / Lead Visual Effects Artist for commercial and music video finishing. After working on some of the most famous commercials in the world, Alex moved to Tokyo in April 2007. He learned Japanese in 8 months and in December he became VP and Lead Flame Artist at Digital Garden, Tokyo. Alex is now a dual UK/US citizen with 18 years of compositing experience, a 4 year degree in design and plenty of awards to his name. He is known for his car and beauty work, and has worked with many of the world’s biggest directors and most powerful brands. His work has aired in more than 40 countries.
